Victor Carreiro Photography employs advanced techniques for bringing each image to its full potential. This process is accomplished in two steps:
1. Lighting: After a shot has been composed, the room must be adequately lit. Instead of setting up inordinate amounts of lighting equipment, we take multiple exposures while lighting different areas of the room with each exposure. A simple speedlight is usually all that is needed. This allows for maximum control.
2. Post-Processing: Each scene that is photographed usually yields upwards of twenty frames, each lit in different areas. The next step is to blend them together by hand in post-processing software to make one seamless whole. We avoid the use of HDR software, which produces a grungy fake look. The process of a single image usually takes about an hour, sometimes longer if it is a complicated blend.
